220/33kV Double busbar AIS substation, Gadag India
We were contracted to complete the Civil, electrical and structural design for a new 220/33kV AIS substation at Gadag, Karnataka India. This was a 4 x 220kV bays Double busbar site along with 13 bays of 33kV AIS and 2 x 150MVA 220/33kV Transformers. Our design teams worked on all aspects of electrical, civil and structural design work associated with the substation. The design also included a new 33kV Capacitor bank connection along with design of a new control building housing all the secondary equipment’s.
Co-ordination between the Civil, electrical and mechanical design elements for major substation projects is quite complex and can have a major impact on the delivery timescales along with construction costs associated with the project. Through our sister company Ohm Encon we completed all elements of design within record time with the substation now successfully commissioned and energised.
